SAGE reads your chart's timeframe and adapts automatically — no setting to change. Upload the timeframe that matches how long you intend to hold.
Keep the indicator legend visible in your screenshot. That's the panel listing each overlay and its current value (e.g. "VWAP 772.73 · ma(9) 772.15"), usually top-left. SAGE reads exact levels from it rather than guessing, so any colour scheme works — but cropping it out forces estimation and costs accuracy.
⚡ Intraday mode — 1min to 1H charts
Best chart: 5-min showing 1-2 sessions. Confirm bias on 15-min first.
Must be visible: VWAP, 9MA, volume — plus the indicator legend
You get: entry/stop within ~1% of price · 0-3 DTE and 1-4 week plays · same-day close target · GEX walls
📈 Swing mode — Daily, Weekly, Monthly charts
Best chart: Daily showing 6-12 months, or Weekly showing 1-2 years
Must be visible: 20/50/200MA, volume — plus the indicator legend. VWAP not needed, it's intraday-only
You get: structure-based entry (2-5% range) · 1-3 month and LEAPS plays · 3mo/6mo targets · cycle read + invalidation level
Mismatched timeframes give bad results. A 5-min chart can't inform a LEAPS decision, and a monthly chart can't time an intraday entry. Check the MTF confluence box to upload two timeframes of the same ticker for added confirmation in either mode.
Checkboxes:
News — earnings date, recent headlines, macro events. Skip on pure technical scans.
GEX — real options-chain walls if Questrade is connected, AI estimate otherwise. Worth it on 0-3 DTE, less useful on 1-4 weeks.
OPEX is automatic — SAGE detects monthly options expiration (3rd Friday) from the date and suppresses signal quality on its own. Nothing to check.
